Davenport, IA – According to the statement, the state is reporting three additional COVID-19 deaths, with a death toll of 5,997. The state data shows there are currently 8,925 active positive cases in the state. There were 21 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 151, which is down from 162.  According to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard, 2,456,560 total doses have been administered to Iowa residents and 1,228,237 individuals have completed the series.

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, the 13-year-old boy was riding his bike on May 4, when he was struck by a Moline Police squad car. According to the statement, officer Katherine Pennacchio was the person driving the squad car. Officer Pennacchio has been with the department since 2018. She is currently on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation. The Illinois State Police is conducting an independent investigation into what happened and will present a complete report to the State’s Attorney when the investigation is complete.

Davenport, IA – According to the statement, his name is Kejuan Tye-Rique Davis and he assaulted four strangers on four separate occasions by grabbing their buttocks. The 18-year-old man reportedly followed each of the victims as they walked from their residences. He asked their names and asked for their social media information. Davis allegedly asked one victim to take him back to her room. A 77-year-old man is dead after a Dunkin’ employee in Florida punched him in the face for using a racial slur. Police say the customer, who has yet to be identified, used the drive-thru at the Dunkin’ and he became upset with the service. The Dunkin’ employees reportedly asked him to leave, and instead of leaving the customer parked his car and went inside where he got into an argument with the 27-year-old employee.
