DAVENPORT, IOWA – A Davenport man was sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison on charges of felon in possession of a firearm. United States District Chief Judge John A. Jarvey sentenced Najawaun Marcus Quinn, 23, to 48 months in prison, United States Attorney Marc Krickbaum announced Wednesday. Quinn was ordered to serve three years of supervised release and pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund after his prison term. The investigation of Quinn began in September 2018 when law enforcement utilized a confidential informant to purchase a loaded Colt .38 Special revolver from Quinn in Davenport. Quinn was on…

DAVENPORT, IOWA – Davenport residents opened a community fridge outside the Roosevelt Center. It’s called the “Minnie fridge,” as it’s off Minnie Avenue. The fridge operates from 7AM to 7PM seven days a week. There are no questions asked. People can simply walk in and take what they need when they need it. Donations are always accepted. A bicyclist died in Davenport, Iowa, when he crashed into a car. Police say the crash took place about 10 p.m. when a motorized bicycle traveling against traffic on a one-way street collided with the car. The Quad-City Times reported a 46-year-old man from Davenport was riding the bike. He was admitted to a hospital, where he died. Police was yet to reveal the identity of the bicyclist.
