City officials have announced that between May and September, on the third Tuesday of the month, the department will bring an outdoor movie to select Marion neighborhood parks. Durant, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, the fatal crash occurred right after 7 a.m. Friday morning. It happened on Vail Ave at the railroad tracks. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The responding troopers discovered that the truck driver was crossing the railroad tracks when the train hit the truck. The truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s age or identity have not yet been released. No other information is available at the moment. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, the Iowa State Patrol’s Sergeant Jim Smith and Trooper Ted Benda, who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2021, will be honored at the national Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony.  State officials said that flags will be at half-staff on the State Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex. The 36-year-old woman said that doctors removed all her teeth and her jaw had to be replaced 3 times after her dentist spotted they were infected during a routine appointment. The former certified nursing assistant was diagnosed with osteomyelitis in her lower jaw which is an inflammation caused by an infection somewhere else in the body. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Iowa DPS officials, officers will be exhibiting zero tolerance for drivers who are not buckled, speeding, or driving while distracted or impaired.   Not wearing a seatbelt is dangerous and puts everyone in the vehicle in jeopardy.   Those not wearing a safety belt become a projectile and kill others who are buckled.   In Iowa, the maximum penalty for a seat belt violation is $135.50 (Iowa code 321.445), officials said. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, this incident occurred right after 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. It happened at 3326 University Ave. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call. Officers arrived and learned that Rhonda’s ex-boyfriend, 58-year-old Tony Arterberry, had been violent towards Rhonda in the recent past. The responding officers entered the home to check on the 56-year-old victim, later identified as Rhonda Rhonda. The victim was found deceased within the home.
