Davenport, IOWA – According to the Iowa DPS officials, officers will be exhibiting zero tolerance for drivers who are not buckled, speeding, or driving while distracted or impaired.   Not wearing a seatbelt is dangerous and puts everyone in the vehicle in jeopardy.   Those not wearing a safety belt become a projectile and kill others who are buckled.   In Iowa, the maximum penalty for a seat belt violation is $135.50 (Iowa code 321.445), officials said. It happened at 3326 University Ave. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call. Officers arrived and learned that Rhonda’s ex-boyfriend, 58-year-old Tony Arterberry, had been violent towards Rhonda in the recent past. Perry, IOWA – According to the DCI officials, the shots fired incident occurred right before 5 a.m. early  Tuesday morning. It happened in the 1800 block of 5th Street. Harrison County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred on Tuesday. It happened on Interstate 29 in Harrison County. Iowa State Patrol officials said a pursuit ended with a car on fire in the ditch and a driver taken directly to jail. City officials have announced that this is the first closure of the NW Johnston Drive and Merle Hay Road reconstruction project.
