DAVENPORT – The city of Davenport launched its Small Business Resiliency Project to assist small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19 on Oct. 1. The deadline to apply was Oct. 30. A total of 42 Davenport businesses requested assistance, and a review of the applications was still ongoing, said city Community and Economic Development Director Bruce Berger. As of Friday, 10 businesses had been notified that they will receive assistance, Berger said. DAVENPORT – In a letter to parents and guardians, the Davenport Community School District announced it will return to hybrid learning starting Monday, Dec. 14. “It was always our district’s intent to return to the Hybrid Learning Model at the earliest possible date,” Interim Superintendent TJ Schneckloth said in the letter.
