Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred right after 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Davenport Fire and Medic EMS responded to the 100 block of East Locust Street in reference to the report of an unknown medical issue. When the first responders arrived on scene, they reportedly found a 53-year-old male suffering from serious, but non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Clinton, IOWA – According to the Clinton Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 7 a.m. Saturday morning. It happened on 31st Avenue North. Clinton Fire Department crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire. The responding crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. Her name is Michelle Fix and she was sentenced to 5 years probation in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 48-year-old man dead. Prosecutors said the 54-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident causing death. The fatal accident occurred in May 2021. It happened on West 2nd Street. His name is Stephen Phillips and he was sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of Terrell Flowers. The 29-year-old defendant was found guilty of first-degree murder in February. The fatal shooting occurred in May 2020. It happened on Crescent Place. According to the court documents, the 29-year-old defendant reportedly threatened to kill Flowers after a previous argument, and Phillips contends the shooting was in self defense.
