Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 4 p.m. Sunday. It happened on Drake Street SW. Cedar Rapids Fire Department crews responded to a report of a mobile home fire. The responding crews saw smoke and flames coming through the roof area of the home. They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. Officials said that 63-year-old woman was inside the room where the fire took place and was evacuated from the residence. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 3 a.m. early Sunday morning.  It happened in the 2700 block of Edgewood Road. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies located the vehicle in a ditch and on its side. They discovered that the vehicle’s occupants were taken to a hospital for treatment. According to reports, 20-year-old Ambrosia Case suffered minor injuries and 23-year-old Destiney DuCharme suffered serious injuries. This incident remains under investigation. Waterloo, IOWA – According to the Waterloo Police Department, his name is Eugene Octavius Love Jr. and he was taken into custody on Thursday. The 19-year-old suspect is now charged with intimidation with a weapon. Love was arrested in connection to the January 8 shooting at a Waterloo Prime Mart that killed 18-year-old Courtney Lamont Harris. The victim was reportedly found dead in the parking lot of the Prime Mart on Broadway Street. According to reports, the 68-year-old woman is now suing the Southwest Airlines for $10 million after she claimed that a flight attendant reportedly removed her from the plane before takeoff because she regularly pulled her mask down to drink water. The woman claims in her lawsuit that she was wrongly removed from the aircraft. Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Cameron Howard and he was taken into custody on Thursday. The 34-year-old man is now facing felony charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and control of a firearm by a felon. This incident occurred on Nov. 28, 2021. It happened in the 6500 block of North Harrison Street. The 34-year-old suspect reportedly fired several shots at a victim who was standing in a doorway with one of his children. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of a bank robbery. The responding officers discovered that the unidentified suspect reportedly entered the business and demanded money from a teller. The suspect then left with an unknown amount of money. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies discovered that two vehicles crashed at the location. Deputies said that Ford Edge was driving north on Springville Road. The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Highway 151 and was struck by a westbound Ford Fusion. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Chad Williams and he pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as an unlawful drug user and making a destructive device. The 37-year-old defendant pleaded guilty on Thursday. Prosecutors said the defendant reportedly admitted that he planted the homemade explosives in Ankeny last year. Two detonated as planned and the third was found intact by an 8-year-old girl.  No one was injured in this incident, prosecutors said.
