Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Cameron Howard and he was taken into custody on Thursday. The 34-year-old man is now facing felony charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and control of a firearm by a felon. This incident occurred on Nov. 28, 2021. It happened in the 6500 block of North Harrison Street. The 34-year-old suspect reportedly fired several shots at a victim who was standing in a doorway with one of his children. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 4:51 p.m. Friday. It happened at the Family Credit Union on Jersey Ridge Road. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of a bank robbery. The responding officers discovered that the unidentified suspect reportedly entered the business and demanded money from a teller. The suspect then left with an unknown amount of money. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s, the accident occurred right before 6 p.m. Friday. It happened on Highway 151. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies discovered that two vehicles crashed at the location. Deputies said that Ford Edge was driving north on Springville Road. The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Highway 151 and was struck by a westbound Ford Fusion. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Chad Williams and he pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as an unlawful drug user and making a destructive device. The 37-year-old defendant pleaded guilty on Thursday. Prosecutors said the defendant reportedly admitted that he planted the homemade explosives in Ankeny last year. Two detonated as planned and the third was found intact by an 8-year-old girl.  No one was injured in this incident, prosecutors said. Monroe County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 10 a.m. Wednesday. It happened at the intersection of 165th Street and 695th Avenue. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The responding troopers discovered that Amtrak passenger train and vehicle collided at the location. The 58-year-old driver of the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified as Melinda Stewart. Muscatine, IOWA – Muscatine Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire right after 8 a.m. Tuesday. This unfortunate incident occurred at 2810 Broadlawn. The responding crews discovered that the fire was spread throughout the kitchen. They were able to extinguish the blaze in just 10 minutes.
