Cedar Falls Police arrest 3 after stolen car chase

Cedar Falls, IOWA – According to the Cedar Falls Police, this incident occurred tight before 3 p.m. Monday. 

It happened near the intersection of Center St. / Green Ave.

The responding officer reportedly observed a black Nissan Rogue traveling at a high rate of speed.

The driver immediately began to flee and attempted to elude the officer, police said.

A pursuit ensued through the North Cedar Neighborhood before ending near the intersection of Longview Ct. / Longview St.

The driver then fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.

The remaining occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident.

The driver was located in the wooded area a short time later and taken into custody without incident.

Authorities said the vehicle was reported stolen, the plates on the vehicle were reported stolen and numerous checks and ID’s were located inside the vehicle that did not belong to the occupants.

According to the Cedar Falls Police, the following charges were filed in this incident:

33-year-old Nathan Redman:

  • First Degree Theft, Class C Felony
  • Eluding, Class D Felony
  • Driving While License Revoked, Serious Misdemeanor
  • Fifth Degree Theft, Simple Misdemeanor
  • Fifth Degree Criminal Mischief, Simple Misdemeanor
  • Interference with Official Acts, Simple Misdemeanor
  • Violation of a no-contact order, Contempt
  • Numerous Traffic Citations

22-year-old Davondrae Jordan Jr

  • Forgery, Class D Felony
  • Identity Theft, Class D Felony
  • 1st offense Possession of Methamphetamine, Serious Misdemeanor
  • Fifth Degree Theft, Simple Misdemeanor

32-year-old Kayla Martin

  • Violation of a No Contact Order, Contempt

Cedar Falls Police were assisted on scene by the Waterloo Police Department and the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.
