Iowa City, IOWA – According to the Iowa City Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 7 p.m. Sunday.
It happened in the area of Highway 6 and Sycamore Street.
Iowa City Police Department officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash.
The responding officers found one male victim.
Police say the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was found unconscious inside the crashed vehicle.
The 20-year-old victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
