Local man has been accused of interference with official acts with a firearm

Davenport, IOWA – Davenport Police Department officials said this incident occurred right before 11 p.m. late Saturday night.

It happened at a bar on W 3rd St.

An off-duty officer reportedly said the 19-year-old suspect showed a handgun from his waistband.

He was later identified as Kaedyn Kruse.

The responding officers made contact with the suspect, who attempted to run away.

When they tried to take him into custody, he reportedly tried several times to reach for his waist band where his gun was.

The responding officers reportedly found a loaded black semi-automatic handgun.

Kruse is now facing multiple charges, including: control of a firearm by a felon and interference with official acts with a firearm.

This incident remains under investigation.
