Local resident arrested, charged after woman robbed at gunpoint in Bettendorf

Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is Kalandis Rashird McNeil Sr. and he was arrested on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old suspect is charged with first-degree robbery.

Authorities said McNeil was being held Saturday night in the Scott County Jail on a cash-only bond of $25,000. 

Right before 2 a.m. Wednesday, the 34-year-old suspect followed a woman to the parking lot of the Rhythm City Casino after watching her use a voucher to cash out.

The suspect then followed the victim to her home in Bettendorf where he approached the woman with a pistol and took her shopping bag containing a jacket valued at $60.

The suspect then drove away from the scene.
