Local resident faces a felony charge of second-degree theft after police found him driving a stolen truck

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Terry Curry and he also faces a possession of a controlled-substance charge.

Police say the 45-year-old man used a screwdriver to start the truck.

Officers stopped the suspect around 1:15 a.m. Monday, while he was driving a Dodge pickup truck with incorrect license plates.

Davenport Police Department officers found a small plastic bag with less than a gram of methamphetamine in his shorts pocket.

Police say the truck was stolen and he used a screwdriver to start the ignition because he had no key.

Curry was arrested and is being held on $5,000 bond in Scott County Jail.
