Local resident is facing charges after operating a drug house at which police found someone dead on the floor

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is John J. Vondran and he has been charged with gathering where controlled substances are used.

DPD officers were sent on Feb.18 around 3 p.m. to 220 W. 16th St. for a report of a possible fatal heroin overdose.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found a deceased male who was located lying on the living room floor.

There were other people at the address when police arrived. They admitted to using heroin with the person just before he died.

Investigators found out that Vondran regularly allowed people to use the residence as a place to sell, use or make drugs.
