Waterloo, IOWA – According to the Waterloo Police Department, his name is Eugene Octavius Love Jr. and he was taken into custody on Thursday.
The 19-year-old suspect is now charged with intimidation with a weapon.
Love was arrested in connection to the January 8 shooting at a Waterloo Prime Mart that killed 18-year-old Courtney Lamont Harris.
The victim was reportedly found dead in the parking lot of the Prime Mart on Broadway Street.
According to the police officials, the suspect exited a vehicle that was stopped on Edwards Street and walked over to the Prime Mart parking lot, where he allegedly fired a gun multiple times into the victim’s car.
Love is being held on $100,000 bond, court records say.
