Mount Pleasant, IOWA – According to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, the shooting occurred Tuesday night.
It happened near the Iowa Wesleyan University.
Mount Pleasant Police Department officers and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting call.
The campus was notified to shelter in place while the police searched on and near campus.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one victim.
Police officials said the victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The police informed the University that two suspects were taken into custody.
Their identities have not yet been released.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department is continuing the investigation.
