Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 1 a.m. Thursday. It happened at the Happy Hollow Bar, 1502 W. 14th St. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of gunfire. When the officers arrived on scene, they found several spent shell casings. Witnesses told police that they saw the suspect, Kendrick Miller, displaying and pointing the firearm in several directions. Police found the gun in the path the suspect took to leave the scene. Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 11 a.m. Thursday. His name is Darnell Bonner and he was being discharged from the UIHC ER when he shoved a doctor into a wall. Police say the 39-year-old man was booked into the Johnson County Jail. He is charged with Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations. If the 39-year-old man is convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail. According to the court documents, prosecutors say that the 15-year-old teen will not be indicted with murder for shooting his abusive father in the head and killing him. Grand jury made the announcement on Wednesday. Prosecutors say that the boy did not dispute that he shot 66-year-old father in the head with a rifle back in October 2020. Davenport, IOWA – According to the health officials, a total of 450,915 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Iowa since the start of the pandemic. The Iowa Department of Public Health says that 30 COVID-19 deaths were reported as well, bringing the states’ total to 6,337. Iowa’s 14-day positivity rate is now 8.9%, up from 8.7% on Monday. The Iowa Department of Public Health reports 578 Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found a teenage boy who had been shot in his hand. Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. It happened in the parking lot of West High School. Authorities say the girl was clinging to the rear of a vehicle as it drove through the parking lot of West High School. The girl then lost her grasp and fell to the pavement.
