A 5-month-old baby girl has died after her mother tripped and fell while carrying her after ducking to avoid an aggressive swooping magpie. It happened in a park as mom Simone was holding baby Mia in a baby carrier. As she ducked to avoid the magpie flying toward her she tripped and fell causing fatal injuries to baby Mia. Dad Jacob called emergency services and she was rushed to the hospital but baby Mia died in an absolute tragic and sudden accident. Four members of the same family lost their lives after one of them intentionally set their apartment on fire. At around 6 a.m. on Friday, August 6, first responders arrived at a Pennsylvania apartment that was completely engulfed in flames. By the time first responders arrived, the intentionally-set fire had already caused massive damage. Investigators believe that the fire was set by a 67-year-old grandfather named Jafar Afshar. The grandfather reportedly smothered the apartment with a flammable substance before finally starting the fire. Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. It happened in the southbound lane of 1000 N Marquette St. in Davenport. The man was was riding a skateboard when he was hit by a vehicle.  Police say the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver fled the scene. Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, his name is Aaron Munn and he demanded his right to a speedy trial. The 29-year-old man is charged with second-degree arson, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Officials say that the amount of damage to the car was over $750. A 34-year-old man is also charged with second-degree arson. Davenport, IA – According to the statement, this is part of the Seamless Summer Option funded by the USDA that will allow all students to eat for free every day. The officials have reported that students who choose virtual or online learning for the 2021-2022 school year will be eligible for free meals. Fifty-two-year-old Vicki from Georgia is on a cross-country swimming mission to honor her daughter, Grace, who died after a three-year battle with cancer.
