According to the police officials, a 26-year-old man was shot after an argument arose among a group of men and women at a shoe raffle in front of the store. Police say the victim arrived right before the dispute and was shot by another man. Police identified the man as Jayren Bradford. He was working at the Shoe Palace at 7725 Melrose Ave. where the shooting took place. Police say the responding officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Davenport, IA – According to the health officials, 17 more Iowans died from the virus. The state’s average positivity rates for the last seven and 14 days both stand at 7.6%. 6,210 Iowans have now died from COVID-19, since the pandemic began. The Iowa Department of Public Health has reported that there are four COVID-19 outbreaks at long term care facilities in the state. The health officials have reported that in the previous seven days the number of Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19 climbed to 214 in one day.

IOWA – According to the police officials, her name is Danielle Lyronda Williams and she was charged with four offenses, including intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Police say this unfortunate incident occurred on Aug. 6. It happened in the 2400 block of Bittersweet Court in Iowa City. Iowa City Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Jacob Derek Seitz and he was arrested Friday on two counts of attempted murder, a Class B felony punishable by 25 years in prison. The 39-year-old suspect has a preliminary hearing Aug. 17. This unfortunate incident occurred right after 7 a.m. Friday. It happened at a home in the 200 block of 4th Ave North in Clinton. Human remains were found in the concrete of the home’s basement. The victim was first reported missing nearly two months ago. Investigators searched her home and found it to be secured. They’ve noticed that her vehicle was missing. Investigators found her vehicle abandoned elsewhere in the state with the car keys hidden underneath the driver’s seat. The finding then prompted a search warrant for her home, where investigators found human remains in the concrete of the home’s basement. According to the police officials, the 40-year-old man was arrested when he tried crossing back into the U.S. Law enforcement authorities responded to a 911 call right before 8 a.m. Monday and found the two children. The prosecutor said the girl had been stabbed 12 times and the boy was stabbed 17 times. Blood stains and a wooden stake, possibly the murder weapon, were found at the scene. This unfortunate incident occurred right after 11 a.m. Tuesday. The 42-year-old man passed the deputy, going more than 100 miles per hour, prompting a pursuit. The chase ended in the 2400 block of Pleasant View Drive. The suspect hit mail boxes, rock landscaping and came to a stop. He suffered injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
