IOWA – According to the statement, the Iowa’s public schools helped Des Moines and Sioux City metro areas rank near the top nationwide this year in energy-efficient buildings. The Environmental Protection Agency said Des Moines ranks third nationally among mid-sized cities, with 48 buildings certified last year as Energy Stars. This means that these buildings use 35% less energy and release 35% less carbon dioxide than typical structures. The Des Moines buildings saved the owners and occupants $2.2 million in energy bills and prevented the equivalent of 18,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions from being released into the atmosphere. IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is Abel Lee Keil and he was found safe in Anamosa. The 5-year-old boy was found safe within two hours of the alert being issued. Jeremy John Keil and Amy Lynn Burick had been taken into custody. The boy was abducted from the eastern Iowa town of Baldwin, around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. IOWA – According to the police officials, the 20-year-old man has been taken into custody. Officers responded around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived on scene, they found three family members dead inside from gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as: 61-year-old Jan Perry Jackson; 68-year-old Melissa Ferne Jackson; 19-year-old Sabrina Hana Jackson. Alexander Jackson has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. The 20-year-old man is in custody at the Linn County Jail.

A heroic young boy has lost his life in South Dakota after jumping into a river to save his little sister. As per reports, the 10-year-old boy saw that his younger sister had accidentally fallen into the river and didn’t think twice about going in after her. “A couple of the siblings fell in the water,” his uncle, Rickly Eufers, said. “Dad jumped in for two of them, and Ricky jumped in to save his sister Chevelle.” Ricky was able to swim to his sister and get her safely back to the shore, though he didn’t surface again. IOWA – According to the statement, the two nurses had been terminated.  About the incident – 77 inmates were given up to six times the proper dose for the Pfizer version of the coronavirus vaccine. The department has never explained how the overdoses happened. The inmates suffered normal side effects of the vaccine, such as fatigue and body aches, and none of the inmates suffered side effects that required hospitalization.  The officials say that the results of the investigation into what happened would be confidential.

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred around 9:40 Monday morning. It happened near the corner of West Pleasant Street and North Main Street in Davenport. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report about two cars exchanging gunfire.  When the officers arrived on scene, they found a number of shell casings. Bettendorf, IA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident around 2:00 a.m. Sunday. The driver was heading on State Street, when he lost control on the curve and hit several used vehicles before hitting the Premier Picks Auto building. He also hit a downtown decorative planter. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. He ran southbound across State Street and disappeared in-between the buildings.
