Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, the chase started at around 9:10 p.m. Monday night. Deputy found a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Cedar Rapids, traveling northbound on I-380 south of Center Point. When he tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver refused to stop. The driver and the passenger attempted to jump out of the moving vehicle. The driver was run over by the moving vehicle and died at the scene. The passenger was taken into custody. This incident is under investigation. This story will be updated when new information is available.

IOWA – The event drew a couple of hundred people to the Mount Vernon Cemetery to honor veterans who have died. The turnout was even bigger than expected. The virtual event went well in 2020, but people are happy to return to the normal format. A group of around 30 local scouts placed American flags throughout the cemetery, including on the graves of veterans. The flags serve as a reminder of what Memorial Day is all about.

Davenport, IA – According to the health officials, the state is reporting 95 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. This comes as the state had no additional COVID-19 deaths to report for the second day in a row. The state reported an additional 27 cases of the virus in the state. The state reported 544 individuals were tested in that time period. The positivity rate over the last 24 hours was five percent. A total of 1,358,425 people in Iowa are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The 16-year-old boy, who had just finished his last day at Oakwood High School, went to Ulley reservoir, a popular spot in Rotherham, with two other friends. The reservoir is famous among people who come for a dip when the weather is warm and Haycock and his friends were no exception. IOWA – According to the statement, his name is Rylon Cook and he had died from his injuries. The officials have reported that the fourth teen remains hospitalized. Brooklynn Eggers and Gavin Werner had died at the scene of the crash in rural south-central Iowa. The 16-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained hospitalized in serious condition. This unfortunate incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday at a railroad crossing just east of Murray.
