A total of 1,348,635 people in Iowa are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19. More than 2.7 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Iowa. Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, his name is Cristhian Bahena Rivera and he was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Tibbetts. The 26-year-old man, who came to the United States illegally from Mexico as a teenager, will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Prosecutors used the DNA evidence and surveillance video showing him driving near where she was running. Her DNA was found on blood spots on the rubber trunk seal and trunk liner of the Malibu. Davenport, IA – According to the statement, the Silvis Police Department officers responded to a shooting call in the 1400 block of 11th Street around 4:50 p.m. When the officers arrived on scene, they found a victim with a suspected gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Genesis-Illini Hospital. The victim later died. One person in custody. This incident is under investigation. Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, at least seven of them were involved in criminal acts. His name is Joshua Lee Scheper and he is charged with making false statements during firearm purchases.  Between 2014 and 2016, he purchased 26 guns, some of which he resold to people banned from owning them. The 40-year-old man was ordered to serve three years of supervised release after his prison term and pay $100 to the Crime Victim’s Fund. The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.

A13-year-old cheerleader went missing on Sunday in Florida and was found dead the next day. The teen was last seen shortly after midnight on Sunday in her Durbin Crossing neighborhood. On Monday around 6 pm, her body was discovered in a remote and wooded area by a local resident who alerted the cops immediately. She was fully clothed when her body was found, reports officials. IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Harvey Hunter Jr. and he pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment. Hunter Jr. accepted the plea agreement offered by Polk County prosecutors. The 48-year-old man said that he did threaten to commit bodily injury to a government official in his Jan. 5 voicemail. Prosecutors will recommend that he serve a one-year term of probation, pay a fine, have no contact with the governor and undergo a mental health evaluation. The sentencing is scheduled for next week.
