The suspect was being held Sunday in Scott County Jail on $25,800 bond to face two felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and two charges of having no drug-tax stamp. The health department reported 369,643 total positive tests, 323,633 total recoveries and 5,631 total deaths since the pandemic began. IOWA – According to the court documents, Roderick Banks, 36-year-old, has been charged with the murder count and a count being a felon in possession of a firearm for the Nov. 1 shooting death of 33-year-old Solomon Blackbird near Park Place Apartments in Sioux City. The 36-year-old man confronted Blackbird and Blackbird’s girlfriend outside the apartment complex and shot Blackbird once in the chest. Police believe the shooting was related to a drug deal. The officers recovered a handgun they believe was the murder weapon. The suspect left town after the shooting and was arrested in Alabama.

IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Michael Lyke Jr. and he was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years on each of three counts in the case. Michael Lyke Jr. was ordered to serve the sentences one after the other.
