Davenport, IOWA – Davenport Police Department officials said the shooting occurred right after 6 p.m. Thursday evening. It happened at the Lakewood Estates Mobile Home Park located at 7171 W 60 St. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim. Davenport, IOWA – Police officials said the shooting occurred right before 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon. It happened in the 2700 block of McKinley Ave. Davenport Police Department officers responded to the location in reference to the report of shots fired with a subject down suffering from a gunshot wound. The responding officers reportedly found one juvenile victim. Police said the 17-year-old male victim was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, the fatal crash occurred right after 8 p.m. Wednesday night. It happened at the intersection of Kimberly Road and Fairmount Street. DPD officers responded to a report of a car vs motorcycle crash. Investigators said a Dodge Journey was traveling westbound on Kimberly Road and made a left turn onto Fairmount Street striking an eastbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification. Cedar Falls, IOWA – According to the Cedar Falls Police, this incident occurred right after 1 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at 401 Main Street, police said. Cedar Falls Police officers responded to a disturbance call. The responding officers discovered that a male subject had just been in an altercation and had pointed a gun at someone. Officers located the suspect in the back parking lot of the business a short time after the incident. Davenport, IOWA – According to the state officials, the aquatic invasive species, everything from zebra mussels to Eurasian watermilfoil, move from one waterbody to another by hitchhiking on boats, in bait buckets and on other equipment used in the water. Officials also said that the aquatic invasive species often grow quickly and spread fast when brought to another lake or stream due to lack of natural controls. Unfortunately, the aquatic invasive species can also create serious problems for Iowa waters by reducing native species and making lakes and rivers unusable for boaters, anglers and swimmers. Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, the 20-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday. His name is Kazius Childress and he is a suspect in two homicides which occurred in Cedar Rapids in January of 2022. Authorities said the 20-year-old suspect was wanted out of Linn County on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of going armed with intent. On May 12th, CRPD investigators reportedly contacted the Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force requesting assistance in the location and apprehension of Childress.  By May 13, investigators discovered that the suspect was no longer residing in Cedar Rapids, and…
