Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, the fatal crash occurred right after 8 p.m. Wednesday night. It happened at the intersection of Kimberly Road and Fairmount Street. DPD officers responded to a report of a car vs motorcycle crash. Investigators said a Dodge Journey was traveling westbound on Kimberly Road and made a left turn onto Fairmount Street striking an eastbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification. Cedar Falls, IOWA – According to the Cedar Falls Police, this incident occurred right after 1 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at 401 Main Street, police said. Cedar Falls Police officers responded to a disturbance call. The responding officers discovered that a male subject had just been in an altercation and had pointed a gun at someone. Officers located the suspect in the back parking lot of the business a short time after the incident. The 23-year-old suspect, later identified as Malik Nix, was taken into custody and charged with: Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct. Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, the 20-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday. His name is Kazius Childress and he is a suspect in two homicides which occurred in Cedar Rapids in January of 2022. Authorities said the 20-year-old suspect was wanted out of Linn County on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of going armed with intent.
