Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, his name is Ira Lee Clark, 29-year-old, local resident. After serving his prison term, Clark was ordered to serve five years of supervised release, and to pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund. He was involved in the distribution of significant quantities of cocaine and cocaine base. He also admitted having a firearm in relation to his drug trafficking activities. He has been previously convicted for involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment, serious injury resulting and eluding, and aggravated battery. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa prosecuted the case.

Marshalltown, IA – His name is Robert Thomas and he was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder in the March 2020 death of 22-year-old Johnqwez Deanthony Lewis. According to the police officials, the 27-year-old Devonte Allen Brooks was injured. Robert Thomas was charged with attempted murder in Brooks’ shooting. Robert Thomas was already being held in the Marshall County Jail on unrelated charges. He remains in custody pending an initial court appearance. He was booked at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday into Scott County Jail, where he was being held without bond until he appears before a judge Thursday in court. Adrian Castillo faces second-degree kidnapping and second-degree sex abuse charges. Davenport Police Department officers responded to the 2200 block of Pacific Street to a report of a kidnapping and sexual assault, around 7 a.m. Saturday. Iowa – The Iowa Department of Public Health reported that the new numbers bring Iowa’s totals to 326,417 positives COVID-19 cases and 5,174 deaths since last March. The state’s seven-day average of new cases is 697, the lowest seven-day average seen since September. The new cases come from 3,638 tests in the 24-hour period. Linn County added 41 new virus cases, for a total of 18,955 since March. The county’s seven-day average is 43. Johnson County reported 40 cases, bringing the county’s total to 12,739. The county’s seven-day average is 26.

Waterloo, IA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred early Thursday morning. Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a shooting call approximately at 4 a.m. The shooting happened near West 1st Street and West Wellington Street, but the victim was found near the intersection of University Avenue and Sergeant Road, near Highway 218.
