Iowa – In Iowa, 2,002 additional cases were confirmed between 11 a.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday, for a total of 271,022. The statewide death toll increased by 15 to 3,668. In Wisconsin, there were 2,579 new cases Wednesday, pushing the total to 463,594. There were 69 additional related deaths reported, so the state count moved to 4,614. In Illinois, 6,762 new confirmed cases were reported Wednesday, along with 135 additional deaths. That pushed the state’s total to 918,070 cases and 15,547 deaths.

DAVENPORT, IOWA – Quad-City law enforcement hopes to prevent auto theft with a new campaign. On Monday, the Davenport Police Department, along with Quad-City area law enforcement partners, hosted a press conference to discuss the issue of stolen vehicles in the Quad-Cities and announced a new initiative, Lock It Down, QC, a news release says.  DAVENPORT, IOWA – The Davenport Fire Department has released more information about the fire at the Simply Amish furniture store. According to the fire department, when crews first arrived they found heavy fire conditions from the loading dock area and heavy smoke from the roof. An additional truck company was called in when they realized the size of the fire. Fire fighters first attacked the fire from the outside of the building and cut holes in the roof for ventilation. This marks the first coronavirus vaccination given in the Quad Cities. For the second year in a row, Jason Platt has made the Texas Library Association’s 2021 Little Maverick Graphic Novel Reading List.
