Iowa – Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is trying to calm fears over a reduction in the first round of COVID-19 vaccine allocated to the state. Last week, the federal government notified several states, including Iowa, that vaccine allocations would be reduced by 30% from the original projections. DAVENPORT, IOWA – After police found meth, heroin and cocaine in her car, a Davenport woman was in custody Wednesday to face felony charges. Chelsey Lira, 30, was in Scott County Jail to face felony charges that include control of a firearm by a domestic-abuse offender, failure to have a drug-tax stamp, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession with intent to deliver. DAVENPORT, IOWA – The Salvation Army QCA is reporting the donations its received so far in its 2020 red kettle campaign. The Moline kettle has raised $49,228 of its $145,000 goal, and the Davenport kettle has brought in $77,771 of its $171,000 goal. These numbers make for a total of $126,999, which is right around 40% of the total donation goal of $316,000 between the two locations. These amount are combined figures from in-person and online donations.

DAVENPORT, IOWA – A Davenport woman was arrested Monday and charged with multiple acts of child endangerment after investigators determined her 2-year-old child suffered a perforated bowel and several rib fractures earlier this year. Taylor Rae Moss, 25, was booked into the Scott County Jail on a count of child endangerment-multiple acts. The Class B felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison. Bond was set Monday morning at $50,000, and Moss is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Dec. 17. DAVENPORT, Iowa – More than one third of registered voters have already voted, by mail or early, in the 2020 General Election. According to information from the Iowa Secretary of State’s office, over 685,000 ballots have already been returned to county auditors in the state.
