Scott County, IOWA – According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal accident occurred right before 11 p.m. late Sunday night. It happened on Great River Road. Scott County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies discovered that the 63-year-old driver of Cadillac CTS was traveling north on Great River Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle began to slide sideways off the road to the east, trip over and strike two trees and then land onto the passenger’s side. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, the traffic signal arm on Harrison St at 16th St was blocking Harrison south of 16th. The responding crews spent several hours to remove the signal from the roadway. Police officials said that motorists will need to stop at the intersection of 16th St and Harrison and watch for traffic before turning or moving through the intersection. Davenport, IOWA – According to the state officials, avian influenza is a highly transmissible, naturally occurring disease often found in certain waterfowl and shorebirds. Officials have announced that there are various strains of the disease ranging from strains causing no harm to domestic poultry to strains that are lethal. Avian influenza can exist in a deceased bird for several weeks, depending upon environmental conditions. Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred right after 1 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at Taboo Nightclub and Lounge located at 415 Third Street SE. Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found more than 10 victims. Police said two victims were pronounced dead and and approximately ten more are injured and received medical attention at multiple local hospitals.
