The 36-year-old man, who was reportedly one of the sickest COVID patients at the hospital, says he regrets not getting vaccinated. The man said he went so far into the pandemic without getting sick that he figured he could shrug off getting the vaccine. He had no preexisting conditions and was otherwise healthy.  The 36-year-old man from North Carolina, Steve Rose, said it all started out feeling like just a cold. Chickasaw County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred around 10:10 a.m. Monday. It happened on Highway 346. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The responding troopers discovered that the 43-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, went off the road, rolled and landed on its roof. Troopers said the driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Nicholas Dietz. Marshalltown, IOWA – Marshalltown Police Department officials said this incident occurred around 2:49 a.m. early Tuesday morning. It happened on S 6th Avenue. Marshalltown Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. The responding officers made contact with the homeowners who told them that someone shot into their home. They were able to identify the suspect using a doorbell camera footage. Authorities arrested Adan Manzo-Macias in connection with this incident. Waterloo, IOWA – According to the Waterloo Police Department, this incident occurred around 8:11 a.m. Monday morning. It happened on 6th Street. Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers discovered that the female pedestrian was reportedly crossing 6th Street from the city parking area when she was hit by a driver who was turning left from Washington Street. Hiawatha, IOWA – Hiawatha Police Department officials said the armed robbery reportedly occurred right before 8 p.m. Friday. It happened at AT&T retail store located at 1950 Blairs Ferry Road. Hiawatha Police Department officers responded to a report of an armed robbery. The responding officers discovered that two suspects robbed the retail store and a firearm was displayed during the robbery. Both suspects wore face masks and dark clothing, police said. The 49-year-old teacher has been filmed pulling the hair of a 12-year-old female student during an altercation. A video of the incident reportedly shows students screaming for the educator to let go of her 12-year-old victim. Cedar Falls, IOWA – Cedar Falls Police Department officials said the shooting occurred around 1:51 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened near the intersection of College and West 22nd Streets. Cedar Falls Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one male victim. Police said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Two other men with gunshot wounds arrived at the hospital in private vehicles.
