Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the shooting occurred around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday. It happened in the 800 block of W 17th Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one male victim. Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said. Hampton, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Spencer Bultman and he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. The 27-year-old defendant was sentenced on Tuesday. Prosecutors said the defendant pleaded guilty to three counts of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence and one count of serious injury by vehicle. Butlman was reportedly drunk and driving his pickup the wrong way in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 20 when he crashed into another vehicle. The fatal crash killed 2 adults and 10-year-old boy. A jury has ordered a famous country-themed restaurant chain to pay a man $4.3 million for serving him a glass filled with a chemical cleaning agent instead of water. The victim is still suffering from symptoms, including injuries to his mouth and esophagus, which have incurred and will continue to incur medical expenses. His attorney accused the restaurant of abusing the court system by denying that its employees did anything wrong. In the midst of COVID-19 restrictions, the mother was unable to get a face to face GP appointment for her 6-year-old daughter and ended up rushing her to the community hospital in where she claims they told her the pain was probably muscular. But, unfortunately, weeks later the child could barely stand up. Cedar Falls, IOWA – Officials have announced that it will be open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and include a similar menu to a full-service Wahlburgers restaurant, such as their signature burgers, home-style sides, homemade condiments, salads, sandwiches, and shakes. Customers will still be able to order Hy-Vee breakfast from 6:00 am till 11:00 am. Formerly a Hy-Vee Market Grille Express, the location was recently converted and transitioned to become a more casual and counter service restaurant. Bettendorf, IOWA – According to the Bettendorf Police Department, his name is Eric Willemarck and he was arrested on Sunday. The 42-year-old man is now charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree theft after he reportedly attempted to to steal angle grinder from the Home Depot and pulled a knife on the store employee. This incident occurred right before 8 p.m. Sunday. It happened at Home Depot located at 920 Middle Road. The responding officers discovered that the employee had reportedly seen the suspect concealing a Dewalt angle grinder and when the employee confronted him, the 42-year-old man pulled a box cutter-razor knife.…

Polk County, IOWA – According to the Polk County Health Department, the drive-thru test site is open every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The good news is that patients do not need appointments to get tested at Polk County Riverplace. The test site is located in the west parking lot of Polk County Riverplace (2309 Euclid Ave.). It offer both PCR tests—with results available within 48 hours—and rapid tests.
