The 31-year-old woman is now facing two charges of second-degree criminal mischief; second-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal mischief, court records say. Iowa County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 10 p.m. Monday. It happened on D Avenue. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The responding troopers discovered that the driver left the roadway and crashed in a ditch near 170th Street. The 34-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead. She was later identified as Silei George. The responding troopers said the victim was wearing a seatbelt. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortuante accident occurred right before 8 a.m. Saturday. It happened between the County Home Road and Center Point exits. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies discovered that one semi was traveling slow while climbing a hill, when another semi rear ended the slow moving truck. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 3 p.m. Sunday. It happened in the 600 block of W. 16th Street. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The responding crews saw heavy smoke coming out of the attic vents. They were able to extinguish the blaze in just 15 minutes. No one was injured in this incident, officials said. Three occupants were displaced from the home due to the fire damage. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this incident occurred around 6:21 p.m. Sunday. It happened in the 1800 block of Maple Way. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call. The 911 caller told deputies that the suspect knocked on their front door and when the victim answered, the suspect forced his way in. The unidentified suspect was reportedly holding a weapon. The man demanded money and physically assaulted the two residents before fleeing the scene. Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim. Fort Madison, IOWA – According to the statement, this unfortunate incident occurred on Friday. It happened at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison. The inmate reportedly approached the correctional officer at his post and began assaulting him. Officials said that the nearby staff were able to restrain the inmate.
