Charles City, IOWA – According to the court documents, the 28-year-old woman is now charged with homicide by vehicle and child endangerment. Prosecutors said the 28-year-old defendant was driving on Underwood Avenue on September 4 when she crossed the center line near the 140th Street intersection and crashed head-on into another vehicle.  Officials said the crash reportedly killed both people in the other vehicle and injured her 3-year-old son. Davenport, IOWA – According to the health officials, the new cases are bringing the state’s total to 7,858. The additional deaths were reported between July 16 and Dec. 23. According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, the number of positive tests in the last 7 days is up from 9,506 to 10,162. The state’s 14-day positivity rate is up from 10.6% to 10.9%, health officials say. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 2 p.m. Wednesday. It happened at the intersection of Woodpecker Hill Rd and Horseshoe Falls Rd. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies discovered that the 86-year-old driver slid through a stop sign and ran into a tree. According to the police officials, the 43-year-old mother reportedly made her 12-year-old daughter fly from Texas to Georgia for a grown man to abuse her. Officers executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home and found large sums of cash and explicit photos of the victim.  The 43-year-old woman from Florida, Adrienne Klein, and 20-year-old Gesart Hoxha, were arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 14, according to reports. Both suspects are under arrest in connection to a child exploitation investigation that began in September. Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing. Centerville, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate accident occurred on Sunday. It happened at E. Bank Street and S. 18th Street. Centerville Police Department officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash. The responding officers discovered that one of the drivers had slurred speech and a slight odor of alcohol.
