According to the police officials, the suspect stabbed his 28-year-old co-worker to death outside her home because she refused to date him. Prosecutors said the victim refused to date her 20-year-old co-worker after the bartender continued to pursue the woman at the restaurant where they both worked. He was so aggrieved by her continued rejection that he waited her with a chef’s knife and stabbed her to death. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Patrick Miller Webb and he was sentenced to 380 months in federal prison and ten years supervised release after the term ends. Prosecutors said the defendant has been found guilty of distribution of methamphetamine near a protected location, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person back in March, 2021. The defendant has two previous felony convictions involving controlled substances. This story will be updated as new information become available.

Bettendorf, IOWA – His name is Tyree Williams and he now faces a charge of intimidation with a dangerous weapon. The 23-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Thursday. The shooting incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Jan. 19. It happened in the 400 block of 23rd Street in Bettendorf. Investigators said the suspect fired 5 shots into an apartment building’s exterior. Two bullets penetrated into the interior of an apartment. A preliminary hearing for Williams is set for Dec. 22 in Scott County Court. This story will be updated as new information become available. 

Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 8 p.m. Thursday. It happened at 812 6th Street Southwest. Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. The responding officers discovered that the victim walked into a hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim’s age or identity have not yet been released.  No suspects have been arrested yet. This incident remains under investigation. The 32-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody on Monday. Prosecutors said the man is accused of beating his girlfriend’s 3-year-old child to death and is now charged with one count of murder for killing the 3-year-old boy. The child’s mother was charged with one count of neglect of a dependent. Family members told police that he was never affectionate with the 3-year-old boy and that the child had bruises and scratches on his face when they last saw him and the couple blamed the injuries on a dog. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the shooting occurred right before midnight late Wednesday night. It happened in the 1500 block of West 8th Street.  Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. The responding officers discovered that the victim was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle.  The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time. Police said that a vehicle parked on the corner of the 800 block of Sturdevant Street was struck by stray bullets.  No other injuries were reported.
