According to the court documents, the 22-year-old suspect is accused of killing his 7-year-old niece and his 42-year-old neighbor. Authorities said he accidentally shot the girl as he confronted his 42-year-old neighbor, then shot him to death with a handgun he was prohibited from possessing because he is a convicted felon. According to reports, the shooting occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Officers responded to a shooting call. The responding officers found two victims. According to the police officials, the 22-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday. Police said he killed a man and his wife and stabbed a police officer after he tried to take him into custody. The suspect ran toward the officer and stabbed him repeatedly in the back and neck. A second officer shot the suspect in an attempt to stop the stabbing. The 22-year-old man from Georgia, Matthew Lanz, is accused of killing Justin Thompson Hicks and Amber Hicks at their home on Wednesday night. Cedar Falls, IOWA – According to the Cedar Falls Police Department, Donovan James Danielson and Nicole Elise Sage were arrested on Sunday. Police said both suspects are now charged with 1st degree kidnapping. This incident occurred right after 5 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at 310 Iowa Street. The victim told police that he was held by force against his will and restrained to a chair at the residence. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found multiple shell casings. They did not reveal how many were retrieved.  No other information is available at the moment. This incident remains under investigation. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 4 p.m. Sunday. It happened at the corner of Fillmore and West 4th Street. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire. The crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The responding crews discovered that the fire started on the train tracks above and spread to the unoccupied building below. No one was injured in this incident. The cause of fire remains under investigation.

According to the court documents, the 30-year-old mother was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of her 10-month-old baby daughter. The mom was sentenced on Wednesday. Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the court documents, Antione Maxwell and Chavee Harden were both convicted of one count of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery. Prosecutors said that Maxwell was also convicted of one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and one count of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
