Linn County, IOWA – According to the Marion Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. It happened near the intersection of Highway 13 at Hennessey Parkway in Marion. Marion Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers found one female victim. Police say the victim suffered non life-threatening injuries and she was taken to a hospital for treatment. She was later identified as Dianne Erb. Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is McKinsley Watson and prosecutors say he initially faced a first-degree murder charge. The 38-year-old defendant pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder. According to the plea agreement, Watson will have to serve 70%, or 35 years, of the sentence before he is eligible for parole. The 38-year-old defendant will also have to pay $150,000 to the estate of his mother, Victoria Watson. He will be sentenced on Jan. 12, prosecutors say. Johnson County, IOWA – According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. Monday morning. It happened at 520th and Utah Avenue in Lone Tree.  Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The responding deputies found one male victim. Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His name or age has not yet been released. This incident remains under investigation. According to the court documents, the 27-year-old woman was sentenced to 50 years in prison for her role in the vicious 2019 murder of her pregnant roommate. The 27-year-old defendant allegedly wanted her 24-year-old housemate to feel the pain of a miscarriage. She was sentenced on Monday for killing her roommate and her unborn child in August 2019. On Aug. 3, 2019, officers responded to a call at the residence in Texas. When the officers arrived on scene, they found the 24-year-old victim, Kelly Holder, not breathing. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced her and her unborn child dead.…

Monroe County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 1 p.m. Saturday. It happened on 148th Street in Eddyville. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. The victim’s father told authorities that while he was leaving his home and backing out of his driveway, he did not see his 1-year-old son leave the residence. Fayette County, IOWA – According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, this incident occurred right before 3 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. It happened in the 17000 block of 45th Street. Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting call. When the deputies arrived on scene, they found shell casings. No one was injured in this incident. Deputies arrested two suspects on Friday, Dayton Perkins and Brandon Latham. Perkins has been arrested on a valid warrant for intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
