Fort Madison, IOWA – According to the Fort Madison Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 5 p.m. Tuesday. It happened in the 600 block of 6th Street. Police say the 21-year-old victim was stabbed in an upstairs hallway. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead. He was later identified as Antwan Lawrence Brewster. The suspect who assaulted him left on foot, police say. This incident remains under investigation. Bettendorf Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire. The fire was quickly brought under control. Authorities say a resident was awakened by the smoke alarm. According to the police officials, the 21-year-old man and his brother were both arrested authorities found the remains of his 17-year-old girlfriend wrapped in plastic and tape in the container, police announced Monday. Buchanan County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 3 p.m. Monday. It happened on Highway 150, south of Hazleton. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. 40-year-old driver with Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling southbound.
