Waterloo, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Martavis Tayshon Wise and he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter with a dangerous weapon and other charges. The 30-year-old defendant was sentenced to up to 60 years in prison for the 2018 beating death of Johannes Rodenburgh. Prosecutors say that he must serve at least 14 years in prison before he is eligible for parole. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, his name is Joshua Guinn and he faces felony charges including two controlled-substance violations, a felony charge of child endangerment – bodily injury, gathering where controlled substances are used and a serious misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana. Scott County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search warrant in the 4900 block of Ruben Drive on Feb. 3. The 31-year-old suspect was at the residence. IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 6 a.m. Monday. It happened in the 500 block of Colorado Street in Waterloo. Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers discovered that the victim didn’t put his vehicle in park before getting out. The person was hit when it started to roll. The person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 4 p.m. Sunday. It happened west of Fairfax. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. Deputies say the vehicle was traveling southbound when was hit by a Union Pacific train. Both people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.  This incident remains under investigation. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available. 

An evil person put his ex-girlfriend through absolute horror by stuffing her inside a suitcase in the final moments of her life. When the incident took place, the 26-year-old man was working as a short-order cook and cashier at a restaurant. His girlfriend was working at a bookstore and dreamed of becoming a tattoo artist. About nine months after they broke up, the violent altercation took place between them, and the defendant was also accused of kidnapping the young woman. According to the court documents, the 57-year-old woman was arrested and booked September 19. Prosecutors say that she was charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted strangulation, and alteration or concealment of evidence. Her bond was set at $1 million.
