Waterloo, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Martavis Tayshon Wise and he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter with a dangerous weapon and other charges. The 30-year-old defendant was sentenced to up to 60 years in prison for the 2018 beating death of Johannes Rodenburgh. Prosecutors say that he must serve at least 14 years in prison before he is eligible for parole. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, his name is Joshua Guinn and he faces felony charges including two controlled-substance violations, a felony charge of child endangerment – bodily injury, gathering where controlled substances are used and a serious misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana. IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 6 a.m. Monday. It happened in the 500 block of Colorado Street in Waterloo. Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash. The responding officers discovered that the victim didn’t put his vehicle in park before getting out. The person was hit when it started to roll. The person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 4 p.m. Sunday. It happened west of Fairfax. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. Deputies say the vehicle was traveling southbound when was hit by a Union Pacific train.
