Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is Kendrick Miller and he faces a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. This incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. Thursday. It happened in the 1400 block of Washington Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a report of gunfire. The responding officers found the 43-year-old suspect at the scene with a stolen firearm. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, Summit Carbon Solutions proposed the project and they say it will be the largest carbon capture and storage project in the world if approved. Officials say that the $4.5 billion pipeline project would prevent carbon dioxide emissions released from ethanol and other industrial agricultural plants from contributing to global warming.  The company will capture those emissions, compress them into a liquid and transport them to North Dakota where they will be stored permanently in rock formations. According to the court documents, 17-year-old boy was sentenced to 20 years in prison this week for the 2018 death of his 7-year-old relative. Prosecutors say the victim was beaten and buried in the snow. The defendant pleaded guilty in June to first-degree reckless homicide in the boy’s death. Six other charges against him were dropped. Prosecutors say the victim, Ethan Hauschultz, ‘was punished because he did not know 13 Bible verses well enough to satisfy his great-uncle’ Timothy Hauschultz. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the home. The responding officers a 42-year-old female victim. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Des Moines County, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred on Sept. 8, around 11:45 a.m. It happened in the 11000 block of Beaverdale Road in Burlington. Des Moines County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault. When the deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that the 38-year-old suspect assaulted his girlfriend. His name is Stephen Clark Houghton and he was arrested and charged with serious domestic abuse assault and violation of a protective order. Officials say the 40-year-old inmate is 5′5 and 185 pounds. Jesus Diaz was convicted on a third-degree domestic abuse assault in Scott County. He began his work release on July 21.
