According to the court documents, 17-year-old boy was sentenced to 20 years in prison this week for the 2018 death of his 7-year-old relative. Prosecutors say the victim was beaten and buried in the snow. The defendant pleaded guilty in June to first-degree reckless homicide in the boy’s death. Six other charges against him were dropped. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 9 p.m. Sunday. Police say it happened in the 900 block of Randolph Street. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the home. The responding officers a 42-year-old female victim. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Des Moines County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault. When the deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that the 38-year-old suspect assaulted his girlfriend.
