Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. Sunday. Davenport Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of West Locust Street near Main Street. The responding officers recovered three shell casings along the sidewalk. Police say a vehicle was struck, but no injuries were reported. Please call the DPD at 563- 326-6125 if you have any information about this incident. The 33-year-old woman was arrested in Arizona on two counts of murder after turning herself in at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. She allegedly confessed to hospital staff that she drowned her children (1-year-old and 4-year-old) at her home in Nevada on Monday. “During an evaluation she had admitted that she had just killed her two children,” police said. Police were first called to Trevino’s home in the 700 block of Calamus Palm Place at around 6:30 p.m. on July 19. IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Datron Simmons and he was sentenced Friday. Officials say that his sentence requires him to serve 35 years behind bars. Simmons was convicted of second-degree murder last month. He killed his wife on Sept. 6, 2020, at their home on the 2100 block of 23rd Street in Des Moines.  Investigators found her body near a wooded area a few days later. According to the court documents, Simmons admitted to disposing of her body in an attempt to conceal her death.

IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 8 a.m. Saturday. It happened in the 12000 block of Dubuque Road near Jesup. Chevrolet Silverado was driving westbound on Dubuque Road and slowed to right-hand turn. Chevrolet Impala hit the pickup truck from behind. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital. Police say they both suffered minor injuries. This incident is still under investigation. This story will be updated when new information is available.

Roelandt faces four felony charges of child endangerment, a felony charge of having no drug-tax stamp, and two felony charges of possession with intent to deliver. A 14-year-old girl has sadly died from drowning at a water park while getting off of a ride. The teenager is said to have fallen into a pool while getting off of a ride, and it was some 30 minutes before lifeguards were able to locate her and pull her from the water. A staff member, entrusted with the responsibility of caring for a disabled boy, became the reason for the child’s unexpected death and for a family to now deal with an unbearable loss.
