Davenport, IA – According to the statement, the Department of Public Health received 68,950 vaccines for the week. The officials have reported that only Monona and Emmet counties ordered full vaccine allocations. Fifty-seven counties ordered no vaccines, while 40 counties made partial orders. The state of Iowa ordered 19,870 based on the response to county allocations. Counties that partially or completely declined vaccine allocations reported vaccine availability within the county.

Davenport, IA – According to the statement, the Iowa Department of Public health reported 397,443 total positive tests, 351,341 total recoveries and 5,983 total deaths since the start of the pandemic. Health department data shows 4,886,421 total tests have been administered. Iowa reports 2,467,782 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered and 1,162,521 individuals have completed the vaccine series. There are now 176 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, down from 189 the previous day. Iowa reports 39 patients in ICU and 16 patients on ventilators.

IOWA – According to the statement, officers responded around 11:15 p.m. to the 2700 block of Magnolia Drive in Bettendorf. When the officers arrived on scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  According to the investigators, there are two subjects involved in the shooting. A mom from Delaware has been charged with the murder of her 3-year-old daughter, whose remains were found buried in a softball field almost two years ago. The remains of the 3-year-old girl were found buried in a softball field close to her family home in Delaware in September, 2019. Two high school students from Indiana have been killed in a car crash on their way to prom. Kalen and her prom date died in the collision on Saturday, May 1. Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, Judge John Telleen granted a request to reduce the bond for Angela Regina Marxen to $500,000. According to the officials, Marxen must post 10%, or $50,000, to be released from the Scott County Jail.  Marxen is charged with first-degree murder, child endangerment resulting in death, and child endangerment. Court records show she filed a written plea of not guilty to the charges. A formal arraignment is scheduled for May 13.
