IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident happened in downtown Des Moines early Saturday morning.  It occurred around 12:30 a.m. in  the 200 block of 3rd Street.  According to the police officials, one man was hit. That individual was the intended victim, but he is not being cooperative with the investigation.  A woman was also hit by a stray bullet. A third person, an adult male, was hit by ricochet fragments. He did not require medical treatment. Investigators are still looking for the shooter. This story will be updated when new information is available.

Davenport, IA – According to the statement, the membership dispute began in late 2018 when three commissioners were not re-appointed after their terms expired. The commissioners insisted they remain rightful commissioners, claiming a vacancy only exists if a commissioner voluntarily steps down, which city officials and replacement commissioners hotly disputed. Klipsch removed four other commissioners who sided with the three term-expired ones. Davenport, IA – According to the statement, since the pandemic began, 355,845 people have tested positive for the virus and 5,843 people have died. The statewide 14-day positivity rate was 4.7%, while the seven-day positivity rate was 4.6%. 1,727,987 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine had been administered to Iowans statewide. Officials also reported 1,079,024 Iowans, or 34.20% of the population, received at least one vaccine dose, and 704,654 Iowans, or 22.33% of the population, were fully vaccinated.

Davenport, IA – According to the statement, DPD officers responded to the area of West River Drive and Blue Grass Court just before 4 a.m. for a report of someone being hit by a semi. A man was walking eastbound in the center lane of West River Drive and was then hit from behind by a semi traveling in the same lane and direction.  The driver of the semi remained at the scene. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time. Davenport Police Traffic Safety Unit is investigating this unfortunate incident.

The 22-year-old pregnant woman was on her way to celebrate Easter with her mother when her life was suddenly cut short. According to police, the suspect rammed their car into the back of the vehicle she was in and then fired multiple gunshots.
