Waterloo, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Adnan Alibegic and he was sentenced to 110 months in prison on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. Prosecutors said the 28-year-old defendant will have to serve three years of supervised release following his prison time. Alibegic pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a felon on June 22. According to the court documents, the 28-year-old man was found passed out in his vehicle in October 2020. The responding officers found a loaded, stolen gun next to him. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, his name is Quarian Deonte Moore and he was arrested on Thursday. Police said the 17-year-old suspect is now charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 18-year-old Dean Titus Deng. This unfortunate incident occurred on Nov. 14.  Police said the 18-year-old victim was found in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Deng was taken to a hospital where he later died. According to the police officials, the body of an autistic 8-year-old who had been missing since Sunday was found on Tuesday morning. The 27-year-old mother and her 29-year-old partner are now charged with murder, cruelty to children and other charges. It is not yet clear how long the child’s body had been at the site where it was found, or whether she was killed there or died elsewhere and her body was just dumped at that site. Marion, IOWA – According to the Marion Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 11 a.m. Tuesday. It happened in the 2900 block of Indian Creek road. Marion Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. The responding officers made contact with an adult male who had pulled into the Indian Creek Elementary School parking lot. He told the officers that his vehicle was struck by gunfire. Police said the victim declined medical treatment. This incident remains under investigation. Cedar Rapids, IOWA – His name is Cody Adkins and he is now charged with multiple charges: attempted murder, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, willful injury causing serious injury, going armed with intent and use of a dangerous weapon in the commission of a crime. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, his name is Robert Anthony Ceresoli and he faces the following charges: felon in possession of a firearm and assault while displaying a weapon. This incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. Monday. It happened in the area of East 11th and Mound streets. According to the court documents, the 22-year-old suspect is accused of killing his 7-year-old niece and his 42-year-old neighbor. Authorities said he accidentally shot the girl as he confronted his 42-year-old neighbor, then shot him to death with a handgun he was prohibited from possessing because he is a convicted felon.
