Bremer County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred Monday night. It happened on Highway 3. Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash. Plow, pulled by pickup truck, crossed the center line and hit the semi heading the opposite direction. Troopers said the 70-year-old driver of the semi was taken to a hospital for treatment. This incident remains under investigation. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available. 

Bettendorf, IOWA – According to the Bettendorf Fire Department, this accident occurred right before 11 a.m. Monday. It happened at 2701 Olympia Drive. Bettendorf Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire. The responding crews saw fire coming from the kitchen and garage. They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. No one was injured in this incident. The cause of fire remains under investigation. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.

According to the court documents, the 43-year-old mother and the 52-year-old father starved their adopted daughter to death. Prosecutors also said that they kept her locked up in a dog cage bound and gagged with duct tape to prevent the 6-year-old child from eating during the night. The victim’s sister told investigators that her mother purchased the cage specifically to keep the 6-year-old girl inside of it at night. The girl also said that she’d seen her parents put duct tape on her little sister plenty of times. Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 2 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at 58 Miller Ave SW. Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim. Police said the 27-year-old victim suffered not life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. This incident remains under investigation. Fairfield, IOWA – According to the court documents, both defendants, Jeremy Goodale and Willard Miller, are being held in jail. Prosecutors said both defendants are charged with murdering Fairfield High School teacher Nohema Graber. They are accused of: first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony. Authorities located the remains of the victim at Chautauqua Park in Fairfield on November 3rd. The 66-year-old woman was reported missing earlier in the day. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, the shooting occurred around 4:15 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and E. University Avenue. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. The responding officers found one victim. Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time. According to the police officials, the 45-year-old man is accused of stabbing to death his estranged wife, months after a court denied her a permanent restraining order against him. The suspect allegedly called the victim starbeast and said ‘he killed her to fulfill a prophecy.’ Authorities said the 45-year-old man showed up Sunday morning at the woman’s home in with a Bible in his hand before confronting her. According to the statement, the 10-year-old girl took her own life over the weekend after she was allegedly racially bullied by her classmates and teachers. The girl’s mom told of reaching out to the school district multiple times and saying her daughter was mistreated by some students after starting her fifth grade. The mother alleges her grievances were not addressed and no concrete action was taken by the school.
