Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right after 11 a.m. Saturday. It happened along Highway 100 westbound. Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. When the deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that a motorcycle lost control and crashed. The motorcyclist suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Deputies say the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. This story will be updated as new information become available.

According to the court documents, the 31-year-old woman was convicted Thursday for killing her 30-year-old boyfriend. The defendant told prosecutors that her boyfriend hit her, so she killed him. The 31-year-old woman claimed that the victim had hit her on March 5, 2020. Jurors nonetheless convicted of second-degree intentional murder. “I shot him because he hit me,” she told the neighbor. Her name is Stephanie Louise Clark and she was convicted Thursday for killing Don’Juan Tymone Butler. The responding officers found the victim shot dead in a bedroom. The body of a missing 5-year-old girl swept away by floodwaters in Texas, has been recovered.  According to tragic reports, the young girl has been identified by her family members as Alyssa Layman, and was said to have been pulled from one of two vehicles that were caught in a high-water crossing. The two vehicles, carrying members of the same family, had both been driving through the crossing when they encountered problems. Cedar Rapids, IOWa – According to the Cedar Rapids Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 11 p.m. Saturday. It happened at 159 Summer Circle NE.  Cedar Rapids Fire Department crews responded to a report of a fire. The responding crews found significant fire and were able to extinguish it, which protected nearby homes. Des Moines, IOWa – According to the Des Moines Police Department, the shooting occurred around 2:15 a.m. early Sunday morning. It happened at 3rd Street and Court Avenue. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found three victims. Police say all victims suffered not life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. This incident remains under investigation. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, the shooting occurred around 2:50 a.m. Sunday. It happened at 5220 Grand Ave in Davenport. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim. Police say the 35-year-old victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died. He was later identified as Samuel Wires. This incident remains under investigation. It also includes feedback from producers who grow for their local communities.
