Davenport, IOWA – According to the company officials, the treatment would be the first long-acting antibody combination to receive an emergency use authorization for COVID-19 prevention. Officials say that the AZD7442 treatment may help protect people whose immune systems don’t respond adequately to vaccination. AstraZeneca says that human trials showed that AZD7442 reduced the risk of developing symptomatic COVID-19 by 77%. More than three-quarters of the participants had suppressed immune systems and other conditions that made them more susceptible to severe disease. The drugs are laboratory-made versions of virus-blocking antibodies that help fight off infections.

According to the police officials, the 27-year-old man has been indicted on Thursday on multiple felony charges for the Sept. 19 death of 22-year-old man. Prosecutors say the suspect fatally shot the 22-year-old victim outside of a nightclub because the victim spoke to and complimented his girlfriend. Black Hawk County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this incident occurred north of County Road D-46, right after 2 p.m. Sunday. Iowa State Patrol trooper initiated a traffic stop on a pickup truck for speeding on Highway 21. Authorities say the driver gave wrong information about his ID and then drove away, prompting a car chase. The vehicle pursuit lasted around 30 minutes before the pickup crashed at the intersection of Tama Road and M Avenue.
