Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Fire Department crews, this unfortunate incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. Monday. It happened on West Central Park. Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire. The responding crews say one person was taken to a hospital for possible smoke inhalation. According to the police officials, the 27-year-old man has been indicted on Thursday on multiple felony charges for the Sept. 19 death of 22-year-old man. Prosecutors say the suspect fatally shot the 22-year-old victim outside of a nightclub because the victim spoke to and complimented his girlfriend. The DA’s office announced on Thursday that the charges against Ian Mackenzie Cranston include one count each of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, second-degree manslaughter, and first-degree assault, as well as two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. Black Hawk County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, this incident occurred north of County Road D-46, right after 2 p.m. Sunday. Iowa State Patrol trooper initiated a traffic stop on a pickup truck for speeding on Highway 21. Authorities say the driver gave wrong information about his ID and then drove away, prompting a car chase. The vehicle pursuit lasted around 30 minutes before the pickup crashed at the intersection of Tama Road and M Avenue. Cedar Rapids, IOWA – According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, this accident occurred right after 8 p.m. Saturday. It happened near the intersection of 16th Avenue SW and 11th Street SW. Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. This incident remains under investigation. IOWA – According to the Marshalltown Fire Department officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 5 a.m. Sunday. It happened in the 800 block of N. Center Street in Marshalltown. Marshalltown Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire. When the crews arrived on scene, they were able to gain entry to the home where they found a 71-year-old victim. Hardin County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, troopers responded to a report of a crash right after 12 p.m. Sunday. Buick Regal driving southbound left the roadway for an unknown reason. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to strike the side of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep then crashed into the ditch and landed on its top. The responding officers say that they found four victims, two adults and two children. All victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. This incident remains under investigation.
