Black Hawk County, IOWA – According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate incident occurred Tuesday morning. It happened on Highway 58 north of Hudson. Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. The Cedar Falls Police Department, Iowa Department of Transportation and MercyOne Ambulance also assisted at the scene. They say pickup heading south collided with a semi heading north. The pickup then caught fire. Unfortunately, the driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Paul Hoff and he pleaded guilty Tuesday. The defendant pleaded guilty to obstructing prosecution for his role in the death of Chris Bagley. He faces up to two years in prison when he’s sentenced. According to the court documents, a felony charge of a abuse of a corpse was dropped in exchange for his testimony against Drew Blahnik. According to the police officials, the 37-year-old suspect was arrested Saturday after he allegedly told his mother that he had just killed his girlfriend. The suspect’s mother called 911 Saturday evening when her son allegedly admitted to murdering his girlfriend. The responding deputies conducted a well-being check at the residence  the suspect shared with his girlfriend on U.S. 98 North. When the deputies arrived on scene, the suspect, Jason Robinson, reportedly gave them a fake name and birthday. Deputies, however, had reportedly looked at a photo of him before the welfare check. A teenager fatally shot his mother with her own handgun because she took away his cellphone from him. The son was 16 years old when his mother decided to take his cellphone away. Later, while his mother was soundly asleep in her room, the teenager took her handgun from the nightstand and then stepped out of her bedroom. Buffalo, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. Friday. It happened in the 800 block of 3rd Street. Authorities responded to a report of a house fire.  The responding officers discovered that one person was still inside the home. They tried to get inside the house, but the intensity of the flames had progressed to the point that they could not get into the person inside. Police say the victim walked across the street when a driver hit him. His name is Joey Smith and he was arrested. The 40-year-old man is charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident and having no driver’s license and no insurance. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
