A teenager fatally shot his mother with her own handgun because she took away his cellphone from him. The son was 16 years old when his mother decided to take his cellphone away. Later, while his mother was soundly asleep in her room, the teenager took her handgun from the nightstand and then stepped out of her bedroom. To make sure his mother wouldn’t hear him, the teenager, Shawn Willis, loaded the gun in a different room of their home in Tennessee before returning back to his mother’s bedside. Buffalo, IOWA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. Friday. It happened in the 800 block of 3rd Street. Authorities responded to a report of a house fire.  The responding officers discovered that one person was still inside the home. They tried to get inside the house, but the intensity of the flames had progressed to the point that they could not get into the person inside. The 63-year-old victim was later identified as Bernard Gerischer. This incident remains under investigation. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available. 

Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, Pfizer and BioNTech received positive results from the trial on Sept. 20. They say the trial included 2,268 young participants. Pfizer and BioNTech officials say the vaccine demonstrated a favorable safety profile and elicited robust neutralizing antibody responses using a two-dose regimen. Des Moines, IOWA – According to the Des Moines Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 7 p.m. Thursday. It happened on Southeast 14th Street. Police say the victim walked across the street when a driver hit him. His name is Joey Smith and he was arrested. The 40-year-old man is charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident and having no driver’s license and no insurance. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. Davenport, IOWA – According to the statement, the new order preventing enforcement of the state law banning mask mandates in schools lasts until October 11.
