A woman had to be strapped to her seat with duct tape on an American Airlines flight after she tried to open a door on the plane mid-flight. The passenger, who hasn’t been named, was on the flight on July 6 when she attempted to open the front boarding door while the plane was in the air. As cabin crew rushed to stop her one flight attendant was bitten and physically assaulted, according to American Airlines. IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is Eugene Baily III. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Scott County Court on Aug. 12. About the incident – This unfortunate incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. May 7 in the 2700 block of Magnolia Drive, Bettendorf. Eugene Baily III fired shots, holding a pistol in his right hand and a bottle of alcohol in his left hand. The suspect fired all the shots toward a townhouse complex occupied by multiple residents. One victim was struck by gunfire and suffered serious injuries. This story will be updated when new information is available. 

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Kiyon Jackson and he is from Davenport. This unfortunate incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. Friday evening. It happened in the 1400 block of College Avenue. Davenport Police Department officers responded to disturbance call.  When the officers arrived on scene, they found Jackson. The 32-year-old suspect was fatally shot at a home in Louisiana on June 30. Witnesses alleged that he, who was in possession of a handgun, came across a woman outside her property the night of the shooting. A physical struggle ensued, which carried into the woman’s home. The woman’s son drew a hunting rifle and opened fire on the suspect, defending his mother, authorities said. Emergency responders, who arrived on-scene shortly after, attempted life-saving measures. The Centers for Disease Control updated its childhood mask guidance on Friday in a release that has many parents incensed. The update stipulates that schoolchildren should wear masks and continue to maintain 3-foot social distancing unless fully vaccinated. The CDC guidance includes information about childhood vaccinations and mask usage. “Mask use is recommended for people who are not fully vaccinated including students, teachers, and staff,” the CDC states. “Children under 2 years of age should not wear a mask.” “In general, people do not need to wear masks when outdoors,” the CDC continued. “However, particularly in areas of substantial to high transmission,…
