Davenport, IA – According to the statement, Davenport Fire Department crews responded to the 3500 block of Fair Avenue This unfortunate incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Sunday. When the Davenport Fire Department crews arrived on scene, they found flames and smoke coming from the rear of a single-family home. They were able to quickly put the fire out and say they pulled out ceilings to extinguish a fire in the attice space. Three people were home at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported The investigation is ongoing. This story will be updated when new information is available.

Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, her name is Jasmin A. Matthews and she allegedly lost control of her car. The 26-year-old woman was traveling east on River Drive on Sept. 7. Matthews crossed the yellow line and hit a truck near Forest Road. The adult passenger of the truck died at the scene and two children were seriously injured. Vehicular homicide is a class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison. A total of 373,130 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Iowa. 6,114 people have died with the virus since the pandemic began. The state reported an additional 477 individuals were tested for COVID-19. A total of 1,786,442 individuals have been tested in Iowa since the pandemic began. Davenport, IA – According to the police officials, his name is Michael Dean Roberson Jr. and he has been charged with domestic abuse assault, a misdemeanor, and second-degree kidnapping and assault while participating in a felony. Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, his name is Henry Dinkins and he entered the pleas Wednesday in Scott County District Court. Dinkins is accused of kidnapping Breasia Terrell from a Davenport apartment complex in July, fatally shooting her and hiding her body in rural eastern Iowa. The 10-year-old girl was the half-sister of Dinkins’ son. Police say both children were staying the night with him at the apartment where he was living with a girlfriend.
