Davenport, IA – According to the court documents, her name is Michelle R. Fix and she is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death, a Class D felony punishable by five years in prison. The 53-year-old woman was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability and speeding as well. Fix made an initial appearance on the charges Friday. She waived her right to a preliminary hearing and will be arraigned on June 24. She was released under the Department of Correctional Services supervision.

IOWA – According to the police officials, his name is John Richard Reyes Sr. and he is charged with two counts of indecent contact with a child. Note that each of the charges is an aggravated misdemeanor under Iowa law that carries a prison sentence of two years. The 74-year-old man admitted to police that he improperly touched a 9-year-old girl. The incidents occurred between March 8 and March 31. The 25-year-old woman pleaded guilty in May to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Eloise Chairs.
