According to the police officials, the 53-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday. Prosecutors say he is now charged with one count each of aggravated battery against a victim he should have known was pregnant, aggravated battery on a first responder and manslaughter of an unborn child by injury to the mother. The 53-year-old man allegedly attacked a pregnant nurse, pushed her into a wall and repeatedly attempted to kick her, causing the death of her unborn baby. Black Hawk County, IOWA – According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 8 a.m. Friday. It happened in the northbound lanes of Highway 63. Black Hawk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash. Deputies say that Honda Pilot collided with Freightliner semi-trailer. The responding deputies found one victim. Police say the driver of the Honda Pilot suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy One Waterloo Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Freightliner semi was not injured. Lee County, IOWA – According to the Fort Madison Police Department, the shooting occurred around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. It happened in the 4200 block of Avenue L in Fort Madison. Fort Madison Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found the 15-year-old victim in a bedroom with a gunshot wound. Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The 17-year-old suspect, Dimari Meredith, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Cedar Falls, IOWa – According to the Cedar Falls Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. Thursday. It happened at 3112 Boulder Drive. Cedar Falls Fire Department crews responded to an apartment complex. The responding crews found one apartment on fire with significant smoke in the 3rd-floor hallway.  They say one person was treated for smoke inhalation. Jefferson County, IOWA – According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Willard Noble Chaiden Miller and Jeremy Everett Goodale were arrested and charged as adults with first-degree homicide and conspiracy to commit first-degree homicide in the death of 66-year-old Nohema Graber. Authorities say the Fairfield High School teacher was reported missing on Tuesday. Her remains were found later that day at a park. Authorities say the 66-year-old woman suffered head trauma. Davenport, IOWA – According to the Davenport Police Department, this incident occurred right after 11 a.m. Thursday. It happened in the 1100 block of East 14th Street. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found multiple casings and gunshot damage to the backdoor of a residence. Authorities say a 20-year-old suspect has been arrested.  His name Ronald Hanson and he was arrested and charged with reckless use of a firearm. This incident remains under investigation. According to the court documents, the 34-year-old mother will spend the rest of her life in prison for killing her 8-year-old son and attempting to smother her 6-year-old son to death. The mom then jumped off a bridge. The 34-year-old mother was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday.
